CNN —A Chinese rocket crashed after being accidentally launched during a ground test Sunday, its company Space Pioneer said in a statement. The crash happened when the first stage of the Tianlong-3 rocket detached from its launch pad during a test, due to structural failure. “Due to the structural failure of the connection between the rocket body and the test platform, the first-stage rocket was separated from the launch pad,” Space Pioneer, also known as Beijing Tianbing Technology, said. Space Pioneer, a leading company in the commercial rocket sphere, specializes in liquid-propellant rockets. In April 2023, it successfully launched its Tianlong-2 rocket, making the company China’s first commercial launch operator to send a liquid carrier rocket into space and successfully enter orbit, according to state media.

CNN —At least nine people were shot at a recreation area in Rochester Hills, Michigan, on Saturday, and a suspect is contained at a home surrounded by officers near the crime scene, police said. One of the victims was 8 years old, said Bouchard, who added he could not comment on the age of the other victims. Bouchard said it appears the suspect pulled up to the recreation area, exited a vehicle and opened fire roughly 20 feet away, reloading multiple times. Authorities are bringing in additional assets, including SWAT teams and armored vehicles to assist officers at the scene, Bouchard said. “A vehicle that matched what had been described as a vehicle leaving the scene was there,” the sheriff said.

Both candidates agreed to appear at a uniform podium, and their podium positions will be determined by a coin flip. In order to meet CNN’s qualifications for the debate, candidates must satisfy the requirements outlined in Article II, Section 1 of the US Constitution to serve as president. Both Biden and Trump meet those requirements, as do Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Cornel West and Jill Stein, who are running on non-major-party tickets.
