Facebook-owner Meta already has two large data centres in Odense, but only one of the three other centres currently under development there will be completed. Last month, Meta said it would cut 11,000 jobs, the first in the company's 18-year history, after disappointing results in several quarters. The company's traditional data centres house servers for apps such as Facebook and Instagram. But the calculations needed for AI require a new generation of data centres, Münster said. Construction on the two halted data centres in Odense began in August.

CNN —Doctors know that drugs called statins lower a person’s risk of a stroke due to a blood clot. But a new study shows that the inexpensive medications can also decrease the risk of a first stroke as a result of an intracerebral hemorrhage, the deadliest kind. People in the study who used statins for any period of time had a 17% lower risk of a stroke in the lobe areas of the brain and a 16% lower risk of a stroke in the non-lobe areas of the brain. When they used a statin for more than five years, they had a 33% lower risk of a bleeding stroke in the lobe areas and a 38% lower risk in the non-lobe areas. She said this study shows what biologically makes sense: Taking statins and keeping fatty deposits from building up in the arteries makes hemorrhagic strokes less likely.

Norwegian apologized to a mom whose daughter was allowed to get off a plane without a staff member. The parent paid for its unaccompanied minor service but the child was allowed to roam the airport. Norwegian told Insider it didn't "live up" to the customer's expectations and offered a refund. Norwegian Air told Insider that the flight was operated by another "wetleased" airline, which it briefly used during the summer months. Norwegian said it had apologized to Kelly directly and offered a full refund of the fee charged for the unaccompanied minor.

Autoritățile anunță noi măsuri de lockdown în Danemarca din cauza creșterii numărului de cazuri de infectare cu Covid-19 în ultima perioadă. Potrivit premierului danez Mette Frederiksen, restricțiile suplimentare inclusiv închiderea restraurantelor, a barurilor, dar și suspendarea cursurilor în școli. ''Intrăm într-o nouă fază a epidemiei, o fază în care vedem o creştere exponenţială a infecţiei'', a declarat ministrul sănătăţii danez Magnus Heunicke într-o conferinţă de presă. Danemarca a înregistrat la ultima raportare de luni, 7 decembrie, 2.026 de noi cazuri de COVID-19 în ultimele 24 de ore, cu un total de 92.629 de infectări. Noutatea este dată de principalul vector de transmitere a noului coronavirus, reprezentat de tinerii cu vârste între 15 şi 25 de ani din 17 districte din zona capitalei Copenhaga, potrivit ministrului sănătăţii danez.
