“Hit Man” suggests that when backing away from misogyny, men, too, have more options, more happiness and more love. “Double Indemnity” turned the trope into an indelible archetype for the morally ambiguous world of film noir. Barbara Stanwyck, Fred MacMurray and Tom Powers are pictured in Billy Wilder's "Double Indemnity." The patriarchal world of “Double Indemnity” is as bleakly loveless for men as it is for women. “Hit Man,” and other contemporary noir films, in contrast, are trying to imagine a way out of the “Double Indemnity” double bind.

“True Detective” was never a series that went in for tender moments, but “True Detective: Night Country” — the show’s fourth season, after a five-year hiatus — takes a particularly unforgiving approach to the human condition. What is happening is that someone is disposing of the dismembered body of the close family member they have just killed. Created for HBO back in 2014 by the writer and English professor Nic Pizzolatto, the original iteration of “True Detective” was a gothic crime drama, in anthology form, marked by Pizzolatto’s penchant for ostensibly profound, quasi-poetic dialogue — Raymond Chandler by way of Rod McKuen. The new season, directed and largely written by the Mexican filmmaker Issa López (it premieres on Sunday), dispenses with the poetry — it is by and large a plain-spoken affair. But where Pizzolatto’s “True Detective” stories were essentially traditional noirs with a gloss of pop psychology and horror-movie sensationalism, López commits fully to the outré and the supernatural.

Cricova a obţinut unica medalie de aur pentru Moldova la un concurs mondial de vinuri spumante! În perioada 15-18 decembrie 2020 a avut loc cea de-a 18-a ediție a celui mai important concurs de vinuri spumante din lume organizat în Franța. La „Effervescents du Monde” au participat 19 țări și 479 mostre de vinuri spumante, iar 11 vinuri spumante din Moldova au fost medaliate cu argint. Unica medalie de aur cu demnitate a obținut-o vinăria Cricova cu spumantul „Blanc de Noirs Pinot-Noir” Extra-Brut. Anul acesta palmaresul Cricova, a fost suplinit cu medalie de aur la ”Effervescents du Monde” cel mai renumit concurs al vinurilor spumante din lume.Compania Cricova se mândreşte cu aceast trofeu, obținut în exlusivitate pentru Republica Moldova, de vinul spumant „Cricova Pinot-Noir Extra-Brut”, fiind apreciat cu medalie de aur chiar în țara de origine a băuturii regilor.
