A Nissan Sentra sits on the lot at a dealership in Evanston, Illinois, on Nov. 12, 2010. Nissan has warned owners of older vehicles to drop driving cars equipped with recalled, unrepaired Takata airbags the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced Wednesday. The affected cars include 2002-2006 Nissan Sentra, 2002-2004 Nissan Pathfinder and 2002-2003 Infiniti QX4 vehicles that may have Takata airbags that were recalled in 2020. "NHTSA is urging all vehicle owners to immediately check to see if their vehicle has an open Takata airbag recall," the NHTSA said in a statement. "If you have one of these vehicles, do not drive it until the repair is completed and the defective airbag is replaced."

Owners of nearly 84,000 older Nissan vehicles in the United States equipped with recalled, unrepaired Takata air bags should immediately stop driving them due to a safety hazard, the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said on Wednesday. “If you have one of these vehicles, do not drive it until the repair is completed and the defective air bag is replaced,” NHTSA said in a statement, noting that Nissan dealers are offering free towing, mobile repair and in some places loaner vehicles. Over the past decade, more than 100 million Takata air bag inflators have been recalled worldwide - including 7 million in the United States - in the biggest auto safety callback on record. The air bag problems have been blamed on propellant that can break down after long-term exposure to high-temperature fluctuations and humidity. Toyota in January urged owners of 50,000 of its older vehicles - the 2003-2004 model year Corolla, 2003-2004 Corolla Matrix and 2004-2005 RAV4 - in the United States to get immediate recall repairs because a Takata air bag inflator could explode and potentially kill motorists.

Between his commute to school and gig work, Kaiser said the Nissan Sentra he bought in mid-2021 already has over 85,000 miles on it. Balancing work with school takes practiceKaiser said his food delivery and Kohl's gigs have sometimes left insufficient time for his academics. If he has too much on his plate, he'll sometimes take a whole week off from food delivery. After graduation, Kaiser hopes to land an entry-level IT job and scale back his Uber Eats and DoorDash hours. But for now, he said he values his food delivery gigs, which have provided him not only a flexible income stream but some positive social interactions.

After credits and other costs, the upfront price of Tesla's Model Y is only about $100 more than the Audi Q5. At $29,135, the 2023 Leaf has a higher sticker price than the 2023 Sentra, which goes for $21,295, according to Edmunds. However, it would take nearly 12 years to make up the $10,000 difference in upfront costs when compared with the Sentra. Overall, that works out to an upfront cost of $49,130 — $4,335 more than the 330i. With annual cost savings of $1,675, Model 3 owners would cover the upfront price difference in just over two and a half years.

SALEM, Ore. — A man accused of torturing a woman he held captive in Oregon, and who was convicted in Nevada of keeping another woman in captivity, is using dating apps to find people who can help him avoid the police or to find new victims, authorities said Friday. Benjamin Obadiah Foster, 36, is the subject of an intensive, round-the-clock search by police after a woman was found unconscious, bound and near death in Grants Pass, Oregon, on Tuesday. Foster’s public defender in the Las Vegas case did not immediately respond to emails from The Associated Press seeking comment on Foster’s behalf. In 2019, before moving to Oregon, Foster held his then-girlfriend captive inside her Las Vegas apartment for two weeks. Hensman said he didn’t have time to think about how authorities in Nevada handled Foster’s crimes there.

CNN —Not that long ago, cars from the 1990s were just used cars. In addition to insuring collectible cars, Hagerty also owns the auction company Broad Arrow. Values for 1990s-era collectible cars have risen by an average of 78% over the past three years, “which is huge,” Rabold said. Cars from the ’90s have at least some modern comfort and safety features, and even relatively inexpensive cars can have respectable power and performance. We’re talking about “collectible” cars.
