He said deadlines at Amazon were aggressive and that he felt he wasn't allowed to ask questions. We didn't have a lot of money, and I always believed that I needed a high-paying job to support my family. I was really happy I landed a job at Amazon right after graduation and felt a huge weight lift from my shoulders. I just wish I had known sooner that what happened while I was at Amazon didn't define me or my capabilities.
