Though with Cherry, there was a sense that he didn’t want to shift the genre as a whole.
Cherry grew up in a musical family; his grandmother played piano for silent films, and his mother played piano at home.
Though Cherry earned favor as a member of Coleman’s band and a featured player on the albums “Something Else!!!
Then, on the 1985 album “Home Boy (Sister Out),” Cherry turned his attention to Paris.
