NEW YORK (Reuters) - When Brian Moynihan took the reins at Bank of America Corp in 2010, the U.S. bank was reeling. Since then, Moynihan, 61, has not just righted the ship, but transformed Bank of America, leaving analysts, industry people and some investors wondering what - and who - comes next. That leaves Moynihan with a new challenge over the next few years: determining who would best replace him, and marketing that person to the world without alienating other senior executives. Yet it leaves Moynihan as the longest-tenured CEO on Wall Street who has not offered a crisp idea of who is next, analysts said. “Now that he has four or five years of runway left, investors should be rightfully saying, ‘Hmmm,’” said one former bank employee.

Ms. Taylor does not report to Mr. Montag. The two collaborated frequently on employee matters, and Ms. Taylor eventually moved her desk to a spot right outside Mr. Montag’s office. At one point, the executives even embarked on a low-carbohydrate, high-fat keto diet together, according to two people who discussed it with Ms. Taylor at the time. “I do believe, long term, that it’s better culturally to know people and see them and be around them some,” Mr. Montag said in February. “Physical presence is good.”It’s unclear how long Mr. Montag will be present himself.

Inventories are 'too low'Low inventory is helping companies flex their pricing power, he said. "This offers more evidence that corporate pricing power is strengthening." Price hikes get stealthyMoody's analyst Linda Montag said that she doesn't view higher prices as a competitive advantage because all consumer companies are facing higher commodity costs. "Consumer companies across the board have gotten very savvy about how to implement price increases without just slapping on five to 10% price increases," Montag said in an interview. Piper Sandler downgraded Kraft Heinz stock on Friday, citing the company's relatively weak pricing power as one reason for the decision.

Last fall, the dealership also got a visit from Peter Saddington, a seemingly unassuming 35-year-old coder who is neither a rapper nor a celebrity. Thanks to an early interest in cryptocurrencies, buying those 45 bitcoin cost Saddington less than $115. The bitcoin enthusiast's Lamborghini purchase isn't just a crazy bargain. "That is like a meme that goes around Reddit," Saddington tells CNBC Make It.
