Oatly and Carvel said on Monday that they will partner to add oat milk-based items at the chain's ice cream stores nationwide. Carvel, a chain known for its soft serve, will add five new plant-based desserts to its menu as part of the partnership. The Oatly products will include strawberry soft serve and scooped cookies and cream and chocolate peanut butter flavors, along with cakes. Oatly said the partnership will help the ice cream shop chain serve people with dairy allergies or dietary restrictions. More consumers have embraced plant-based milk in recent years, and oat milk has started to make up a larger share of that segment.

REUTERS/Aly Song/File Photo Acquire Licensing RightsSept 18 (Reuters) - New Zealand's A2 Milk Company Ltd (ATM.NZ) said on Monday it had given notice to Synlait Milk (SML.NZ) after market hours on Friday that it was canceling its exclusive manufacturing and supply rights for certain infant milk formula products of company. A2 Milk issued cancellation notices on Synlait's exclusive manufacturing and supply rights on stages 1 to 3 of the dairy producer's infant milk formula as Synlait's delivery in full and on time performance during fiscal 2023 fell below the required level. Synlait did not immediately respond to a Reuters request for comment but A2 Milk said the manufacturing and supply agreement between the parties would remain in place as Synlait considers the cancellation notice. Removal of Synlait's exclusivity will give the dairy firm a chance to expand production of its English label product at any facility at a time when one of its largest markets, China, introduces stringent regulations for infant formula.

Kitt, which designs, constructs, and manages office space, just raised $8 million. Instead, he was consumed by a quirk of his Kentish Town, London, office space: a leaky AC unit. It was this experience, and the subsequent chasing of the landlord for repairs, that germinated the seed of his next business: managed office space. Kitt has a marketplace of office space to connect landlords and commercial tenants. With the rise of remote work, office space is now seen as a strategic decision, Coulson said.

New rules imposed in February force infant formula makers to invest heavily to re-make, test, certify and re-register their products for China, before potentially conducting new marketing campaigns. “The new standard requires higher product quality as well as stronger manufacturing techniques which are expected to eliminate many small-to-medium-size players,” said Quinn Mai, analyst at Euromonitor International, which estimates China’s infant formula market will fall 12.5% to $21 billion by 2025 due to shrinking demand. China's National Health Commission (NHC) cited infant safety when announcing the latest rules. Celia Ning, director at the nutrition research institute of formula maker Junlebao, said the registration process could "easily" take a year. Another, Fonterra (FCG.NZ), said it was progressing through the re-registration process but that infant formula made up a relatively small part of its China business, with declining birth rates and regulation driving industry consolidation.

The growth of e-commerce has opened new private equity opportunities, a top investor said. The $941 billion private equity firm took a majority stake in Supergoop last December. The investment valued Supergoop, which makes sunscreen and sun protection-focused makeup, at some $600 million to $700 million at the time, Bloomberg News reported. "What is at work here is the colossal, growing nature of private equity everywhere," said Carter Dougherty, communications director for the progressive advocacy coalition Americans for Financial Reform. Some $78 billion of that is in private equity, with the rest across real estate, hedge fund solutions, and credit and insurance, according to filings.
A key component of launching a successful startup is creating a pitch deck for potential investors. Insider asked eight startup founders to share their best tips for creating a strong pitch deck. While the founders had different approaches, each pitch deck was successful in getting investors' attention. Lin said the key to creating the pitch deck they showed investors was editing it depending on their audience.
