☆ Las Vegas monolith: A ‘mysterious’ pillar appears on hiking trail in Nevada

CNN —Another “mysterious” monolith has been spotted. This time, on a Las Vegas hiking trail in Nevada, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD). “How did it get up there?”The monolith was found over the weekend near Gass Peak north of Las Vegas, it added. The pillar is reminiscent to ones popping up all over the world shortly after a 10-feet silver monolith was discovered in late 2020 by a helicopter crew flying over an Utah desert. As for the one found on the Las Vegas hiking trail, social media users claimed the monolith isn’t actually new.

But ham prices were lower, falling 5.4% overall and dropping 6.3% when you exclude canned varieties. But the uptick of bird flu cases has hit turkey farms hard, and threatens to tighten supply in groceries this spring. In part that’s because unlike eggs, turkey isn’t a kitchen staple — meaning that higher prices could just lead people to skip that turkey sandwich after all.

Salesforce Chief Trust Officer Vikram Rao is leaving the company after less than 18 months in the role, according to an internal memo viewed by Insider. In an internal Slack message from earlier this year viewed by Insider, Rao said he was taking time off from June 3 to September 5. He became chief trust officer in June 2022. Salesforce Chief Technology Officer and cofounder Parker Harris will take on Rao's role while Salesforce searches for a replacement, according to the memo. Executive Vice President Mark Carter, whose purview included cybersecurity, left in November and Taher Elgamal, chief technology officer of security, left in February.

They were able to issue the securities at much lower interest rates than what they would have had to pay on a bond. In interviews, two bankers and an investor said that uncertainty has made convertible bonds an attractive option to raise money for some investment-grade companies.
