The Spurs' majority owner is Peter Holt, managing partner of Spurs Sports & Entertainment, which also operates the team's arena, the Frost Bank Center. Last May, Viera bought a 5% stake in the Spurs for an undisclosed enterprise value. Partial team owners can get major discounts when they buy small pieces of teams that give them less control over decisions. Businessman Paul Viera is increasing his stake in the San Antonio Spurs from 5% to 11%, CNBC has learned, as NBA valuations climb and make teams more attractive assets for investors. NBA teams are hot assets thanks in large part to the league's new $76 billion, 11-year media deal.

Somebody wanted him dead.”After Hollander visited the DA’s office in 2020, prosecutors agreed to check out her story. “Don’t employees from the DA’s office have to sign a log when they handle evidence?” a reporter wrote to Geary. This came about after the items were shipped to her.”Legal counsel Don Geary has since left the Fulton DA’s office. CNN emailed Deputy District Attorney Jeff DiSantis, the DA’s spokesman, to ask about Hollander’s lawsuit and the missing potential evidence. In a recent phone interview with CNN, Hollander called for Willis to account for the missing items from the evidence bags.

Gender, relationships, family and the meaning of pop culture. But does “Almost Famous” have a scene when the sky opens to reveal giant chopsticks hovering over salmon roe as big as skyscrapers? A minor description from Theodore McCombs’s inquisitive fantasia URANIANS (Astra House, 210 pp., $25), his debut collection, illuminated the whole book for me. The main character in “Laguna Heights,” frustrated by memory gaps caused by his top-shelf neurotechnology, is called the “sort of man pleased to remember that old movies are still in the world.” He’s not pleased; he’s the kind of person who would be pleased. This detached phrasing, however tossed-off, tore me out of the moment, and confronted me with an iffy behavioral theory: Identity predetermines emotions and actions, and emotions and actions reinforce identity, in one smooth loop.

"The same mechanism we saw in 2017 could be at play now in the still unreal bitcoin market." "The same mechanism we saw in 2017 could be at play now in the still unreal bitcoin market." "The whale kept establishing price floors, and those floors kept rising. Bitcoin price floor manipulationDuring bitcoin's latest run, it's peculiar how reliably bitcoin bounced above $16,000 seemingly the moment it breached that level, he said.
