CHICAGO, Oct 11 (Reuters) - Former National Football League player Sergio Brown has been taken into custody in connection with the death of his mother who was found deceased near her home outside of Chicago last month, CNN reported, citing a law enforcement official.
Authorities apprehended Brown near San Diego after he was deported by Mexico on Tuesday.
Police are working to transfer him back to the Chicago area, CNN reported, citing an unnamed official.
She had suffered injuries from an assault, local media reported, citing the coroner's office.
