One step is to build a "circle of influence" filled with people who can help you make an impact. But the path forward is not always obvious, says Sanjay Khosla, senior fellow and adjunct professor of marketing at the Kellogg School and trained executive coach. "When you're stressed out, there's a mismatch between what you want to be doing and what you're actually doing," Khosla says. As part of her circle of influence, Maya identified her manager, a few peers, a senior sales leader in her company, and a handful of people outside the company. "Look at everything from another person's point of view, rather than just telling them what you're doing," he says.

The climate crisis impacts everyone, and young people feel especially stressed about the warming planet. In a recent conversation at the South by Southwest conference in Austin, Texas, tech founder and philanthropist Alexis Ohanian spoke with two Gen Z climate leaders about how they manage their eco-anxiety. Penn says the biggest way she confronts climate anxiety is by taking action, and her biggest motivator is using hope and joy as tools of resilience. Most recently, Penn says she channels her climate anxiety through art, namely through her first animated short film "Asali: Power of the Pollinators" with executive producer Viola Davis, which comes out in April. She also stresses the need to tap into Black, Brown and Indigenous communities to measure negative impact as well as seek solutions.

Proyecto Arqueologico Bajo Laberinto/INAH/Handout via REUTERSMEXICO CITY, Oct 27 (Reuters) - A laser-powered study of the sprawling metropolis of Calakmul in southern Mexico offers tantalizing new evidence that it may have been the most crowded ancient Maya urban center during the civilization's classical peak some 1,300 years ago. The new LIDAR study announced late Wednesday by Mexican antiquities institute INAH covers the jungle-covered ruins of once-mighty Calakmul, located in the central lowlands of the Yucatan peninsula near the Guatemalan border. Reese-Taylor noted the new preliminary maps of the barely three-month old data show extensive residential apartment complexes clustered around temples and possible markets. Previous estimates suggested the city's population likely reached some 50,000 inhabitants, but the new study could force a recalculation.
"After two years of painstaking efforts, the arctic wolf was cloned successfully. The Arctic wolf, also known as the white wolf or polar wolf, is a subspecies of grey wolf native to the High Arctic tundra, in Canada's northern Arctic Archipelago. Sinogene launched its Arctic wolf cloning project in 2020, in collaboration with the polar theme park Harbin Polarland, it said in a statement posted on the Twitter-like platform Weibo. The company said in its Weibo post that a second cloned arctic wolf is expected to be born soon. The cloned Maya is now living with her beagle surrogate mother, and will later be housed in Harbin Polarland, open to the public.
