Matty Matheson isn’t the most famous actor on Hulu’s restaurant drama “The Bear,” but he has the distinction of being the cast’s only real-life chef. Matheson, 41, who plays handyman Neil Fak on the show and is an executive producer, has taught his co-stars how to make it look like they’re actually cooking and working in a kitchen. His culinary expertise is extensive. Matheson runs 11 restaurants in his native Canada including Matty’s Patty’s, Prime Seafood Palace and Maker Pizza, a chain with six locations. He also has a YouTube channel, a cookware line, a clothing brand and two published cookbooks, with a third on the way.
