The personal chef to the Obama family died of accidental drowning last month in a Martha’s Vineyard lake, the chief medical examiner of Massachusetts has ruled, officials said on Tuesday. The chef, Tafari Campbell, 45, of Dumfries, Va., had been visiting the island in late July and was paddleboarding near the former first family’s summer home when he was seen struggling in the water, the Massachusetts State Police said last month. The chief medical examiner’s office has determined that Mr. Campbell's death on July 23 was an accident, Timothy McGuirk, a spokesman for the state Executive Office of Public Safety and Security, said on Tuesday night. Former President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama were not home at the time of the accident, the state police said. Another paddleboarder was on the pond with him at the time and saw him go underwater, the police said.

Bruce was the name given to the three mechanical predators built to simulate the great white shark at the heart of the story. Occasionally they wondered if it might not have been better to train an actual great white for the role. After seeing “The Shark Is Broken,” a play about that disastrous shoot, you may wonder the opposite: whether it might not have been better to cast the movie with mechanical humans. All of that is faithfully rendered in “The Shark Is Broken,” which opened on Thursday at the Golden Theater, in a production directed by Guy Masterson.

Tafari Campbell, 45, was seen struggling while paddle boarding near a home owned by the Obamas on July 23. A July 25 post on messaging platform X, formerly known as Twitter, said: “DEVELOPING: Obamas Chef is now reported to have suffered blunt trauma prior to death. There are also no reliable news reports to suggest Campbell suffered any trauma prior to or during his death or that the Obamas called off the autopsy. Massachusetts State Police said that no trauma was observed on Tafari Campbell, and that the post-mortem examination was performed by the state’s chief medical examiner’s office.

He tried to undo a 1981 court decree that requires the city to provide shelter to anyone who needs it. Such services could help migrants acclimate to life in New York City and could ease complaints from neighbors of the hotels the city is using to house many migrants. The Adams administration has been warehousing asylum seekers instead of putting the country’s largest municipal government to work helping them build new lives, in New York or wherever else they may want to go. Ron DeSantis of Florida, the presidential candidate who used asylum seekers for political sport, flying them to the resort island of Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts at taxpayer expense just to own the libs. Kathy Hochul of New York needs to step in and demonstrate the concern lacking from City Hall.
