Private equity is ramping up its AI hiring efforts, with Blackstone snagging a key executive to oversee how AI will be applied at its some 230 portfolio companies. Mehrotra will lead Applied AI within Blackstone's data science team, Matthew Katz, Blackstone's global head of data science, told Business Insider in a written statement.
