SES will manage the joint offering, called "SES Cruise mPOWERED + Starlink," as a service that it says will provide high-speed, reliable internet service to cruise ships, regardless of whether they're clustered in port or far out at sea. PARIS – European satellite operator SES is teaming up with SpaceX's Starlink to offer a combined service to cruise operators, the companies announced on Wednesday. SpaceX has launched over 5,000 Starlink satellites to date and had over 1.5 million customers as of May. SES said it's in discussions with multiple initial cruise customers for the combined service, but declined to specify further. And the companies are also talking about other potential markets that would be a fit for the combined SES and Starlink service.

May 4 (Reuters) - Satellite firm SES (SESFg.LU) on Thursday reported first-quarter earnings above market expectations, and said it is on track to deliver on its full-year outlook. It also confirmed its schedule for both the O3b mPOWER and U.S. C-band projects. One of the world's biggest commercial satellite operators, the Luxembourg-based company said first-quarter adjusted core earnings (EBITDA) fell 3.2% year-on-year to 265 million euros ($293.57 million), but that still above 255 million euros seen in a company-compiled consensus. "Solid EBITDA performance underscores our continued focus on execution across the business," Chief Executive Steve Collar said in the earnings statement. SES' quarterly revenue grew 9.6% to 490 million euros, slightly above the 484 million euros expected by analysts, driven by contribution from its DRS GES acquisition.

T-Mobile had at least 11 contracts providing service to the Guantánamo Bay Naval Base and prison. Almost 800 people have been imprisoned at Guantánamo Bay since the prison opened in 2002. At least 11 of these contracts, according to research conducted by the coalition and shared with Insider, are for providing cell service to the Guantánamo Bay prison site. T-Mobile's Guantánamo Bay contracts are worth a meager amount compared to its other contracts worth more than a million a piece. The US has held almost 800 people in the Guantánamo Bay prison, often without being charged with a crime, since it opened in the wake of the September 11 terror attacks.

Agenția de Guvernare Electronică a lansat astăzi, 24 noiembrie, încă un serviciu nou pentru Republica Moldova. Acest serviciu va permite persoanelor să simplifice modalitățile de oferire a unor împuterniciri și să reducă timpul de așteptare pentru obținerea documentelor care atestă aceste împuterniciri. Ei bine, după acest exercițiu îți propun să cunoaștem mai detaliat serviciul și modul de funcționare chiar de la creatorii acestuia. Împuternicirile de reprezentare vor putea fi acordate din orice colț al lumiiÎmputernicirile de reprezentare vor putea fi acordate din orice colț al lumii prin intermediul serviciului electronic MPower. Acesta reprezintă un registru al împuternicirilor de reprezentare în baza semnăturii electronice și a fost lansat de Agenția de Guvernare Electronică, transmite IPN. Sistemul informațional MPower permite atât cetățenilor aflați pe teritoriul Republicii Moldova, cât și conaționalilor de peste hotare să acorde împuterniciri de reprezentare din orice colț al lumii. „Acordarea împuternicirilor de reprezentare se poate face autonom, fără asistența din partea serviciilor notariale, este gratuit, reduce costurile și timpul de acordare. Este accesibil pentru persoane fizice și juridice de drept public și privat, în baza semnăturii electronice calificate”, a notat responsabilul.
