Read previewMemes and celebrity endorsements have already set the tone for Kamala Harris' presidential campaign. Kamala HQ instead posted a Venn diagram, with the two outer circles, "Biden HQ" and "Kamala HQ" merging to form "holding Trump accountable." Across the social media landscape, the energy is palpable, said David Karpf, a professor of media and public affairs at George Washington University. "When you've got a good social media team that has arrived at a cultural moment and pent-up enthusiasm, they get to play with it." While Harris' team is focusing on younger voters and voters of color, the appeal of social media transcends age, North said.

As Gatorade approaches its 60th birthday, the brand is staying spry, branching out into new categories from unflavored water to energy drink mixes. It accounted for 63.5% of the U.S. sports drink market in 2023, according to Euromonitor International data. Gatorade President Mike Del Pozzo told CNBC that the competition is good for the category overall – and shows his brand's own strength. "There's plenty of loud voices right now, trying to make a name for themselves," said Del Pozzo. And Propel's annual sales are projected to cross $1 billion for the first time this year, Del Pozzo said.

Low-risk retail arbitrage is time-intensive, however. He had a few summer vacation months ahead: the perfect opportunity to scale a retail arbitrage operation. With FBA, he wouldn't have been able to list products until Amazon received them, which would have killed his strategy of listing products before purchasing inventory. Dhingra, now 20, is in his junior year at VCU and focused on other entrepreneurial projects since retail arbitrage requires so much time. He has reinvested 100% of his profits back into the arbitrage business, he said: "I haven't taken a single disbursement from my business checking.

From product updates to startup rebrands, community has been at the forefront of press releases these past several months. Kajabi, a popular online course platform, recently announced that its creators had earned more than $6 billion using its platform. "We need a bit of everything," Amsellem said, adding that online communities and social platforms "are not going to solve loneliness" by themselves. For instance, Lennon's community on Kajabi hosts about 3,000 members — roughly the size of a small town in the US. Across all of Kajabi, the platform hosts more than 32,000 communities and over 2 million community members, per the company.

To celebrate the sale of its billionth bottle, Prime opened two limited stores in London and NYC. The stores was gold themed, and included the chance to win a $500,000 gold Prime bottle. In New York, where Logan Paul was running operations at the local Prime store, the matching gold bottle was recorded melting, as there could only be one winner. For example, visitors of the Prime London store received a gold bottle with a custom flavor and the words "London 1,000,000,000" printed on it. Now, the gold Prime bottle can be found for sale on the Central Sweet Supply website for £139.99 (about $171).

Ritzau Scanpix/Ida Marie Odgaard via REUTERS/File PhotoJuly 12 (Reuters) - The U.S. Food and Drug Administration said on Wednesday it is reviewing concerns raised by Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer against a popular influencer-created energy drink. Prime Energy contains 200 milligrams of caffeine per 12 ounces, equal to six cans of Coca-Cola or nearly two Red Bulls. Canadian health officials told Reuters on Wednesday the energy drink should not be sold in Canada as the product exceeds the acceptable caffeine limits. The Canada health agency is aware that some stores in Canada may be selling Prime Energy without approval and it is actively working to address this issue, a spokesperson said.

PRIME Energy contains 200 milligrams of caffeine per 12 ounces, equal to six cans of Coca-Cola or nearly two Red Bulls. According to a warning on the company's website, PRIME Energy is not recommended for children under the age of 18, women who are pregnant or nursing, or individuals who are sensitive to caffeine. PRIME also sells a non-caffeinated hydration drink in similar packaging. Schumer said the packaging and marketing of the two drinks were so similar that parents were unknowingly buying the highly caffeinated energy drinks for their children.

Other energy drinks boast similar or higher levels of caffeine content, such as Celsius or Bang. "This content and the claims made should be investigated, along with the ingredients and the caffeine content in the Prime energy drink." The company notes under the energy drink product that the beverage is for ages 18+. Prime's beverage is not the only energy drink with high caffeine content on the market. Some energy drinks surpass the caffeine content of Prime.
