[1/6] Park Young-soo, whose son died in the Halloween crowd crush a year ago, visits the memorial park where her son's ashes were buried in Pocheon, South Korea, October 24, 2023. She says she may not be able to move on with her life until she sees some kind of accountability from the government. Park is one of more than 100 family members who say the authorities have done little to hold those responsible to account. Relatives of the victims want a special law that would allow an independent and comprehensive investigation into the cause of the crush. "Nothing is reported to us nor communicated to us," said Nari Kim from Austria, who lost her younger brother in the crush.

According to Tom Lee, managing partner of Fundstrat Global Advisors, the answer is "yes" in three areas. S & P 500 Lee said the S & P 500 has further upside into next year. He told CNBC's " Squawk Box Asia " that the cryptocurrency could soar to as high as $200,000, according to a predictive model his firm uses. "The idea is that over the next five years, we should see another log function increase in the network value of bitcoin," Lee said, referring to a metric the firm uses. China Lee said his firm is also optimistic on Chinese stocks, and urged investors to start to take an overweight position on the country.

The outlook is rosy for SolarEdge Technologies and First Solar , according to Goldman Sachs. Analyst Brian Lee named the two solar stocks among his top picks heading into 2023, saying they can add to this year's gains. "While solar equities outperformed in 2022 vs. R2K, stocks are still ~20% below early '21 peak levels and valuations remain below pre-IRA levels," Lee wrote in a Sunday note. Solar stocks outperformed in the second half of 2022, after underperforming in the first half of the year, following the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act. Meanwhile, shares of First Solar may have surged more than 77% this year, but the analyst forecasts the company could be the "biggest beneficiary of the IRA" because of its "outsized leverage to US utility-scale solar," Lee said.
Industry insiders shared their views on what tech companies could reach super app status in the US. Cornerstone Advisors' Ron Shevlin doesn't think the US will have a single super app. The race to build a so-called financial super app is well underway, and some industry insiders are already placing their bets. A super app is essentially a one-stop shop for users' financial needs and beyond, providing multiple services and products — including savings, investing, and shopping tools — all in one place. It is an opportunity, I think, for them to become a super app.
