Israeli forces stand poised to launch a long-promised ground invasion to destroy Hamas, while the U.S. continues its diplomacy blitz to prevent the conflict from widening even as food, water and fuel shortages across Gaza cause a desperate humanitarian situation.
It remains unclear, however, whether critical supplies will be allowed back into Gaza and whether the border will open for foreign passport holders.
As it stands, the border crossing is closed as the humanitarian crisis worsens for people gathering in southern Gaza – the vast majority women and children.
