CNN —Justin Timberlake is expected to plead guilty to one count of driving while impaired in a deal with Suffolk County, New York prosecutors, who agreed to drop a driving while intoxicated charge against the singer, according to a source familiar with the case. The plea will include a to-be-determined fine, though the judge in the case could impose other penalties and still needs to approve the agreement at a hearing scheduled Friday morning, where Timberlake is anticipated to be in attendance. Before the agreement, Timberlake had pleaded not guilty to the DWI charge, a misdemeanor, back in August. Had he been convicted, he could have faced a maximum of one year in prison and a $2500 fine. Justin Timberlake was arrested in Sag Harbor, New York in June.

Ryan Imperio was named the overall winner for his photograph capturing the progression of Baily’s beads during the 2023 annular eclipse, according to a Thursday statement from the Royal Observatory Greenwich, which runs the competition. “These are a challenge to capture due to their brevity and the precise timing needed.”Imperio said that he didn’t expect to win the competition. “The images selected each year are absolutely astonishing and I am both thrilled and honoured to have my photo among them,” he said in the statement. CNN —Justin Timberlake is expected to enter a plea in a driving while intoxicated case related to his June arrest in Sag Harbor, New York, according to the Suffolk County district attorney’s office. Timberlake will appear at a hearing this Friday, marking the singer’s first return to the Hamptons enclave since his arrest. The singer pleaded not guilty to a charge of driving while intoxicated last month, through a virtual court appearance, where the judge suspended his license. Timberlake will plead to a lesser charge, according to the Associated Press.
