Kaliningrad was known by the German name of Koenigsberg until after World War II, when it was annexed by the Soviet Union and renamed to honour Soviet politician Mikhail Kalinin. Relations between Poland and Russia have historically often been very strained, including during and after World War Two. Most Poles believe the Soviet Union replaced Nazi occupation with another form of repression.

Elon Musk went to New York on Halloween to meet with advertisers and visit the Twitter office. He brought his mom, Maye Musk, along to the meeting where execs asked about un-banning Trump. The billionaire then tweeted a joke about Trump during the meeting. Two advertising executives from Twitter also came along, as well as Musk's friend Jason Calacanis, and Maye Musk. Horizon Media CEO, Bill Koenigsberg, told Musk that some of his clients had heard about the meeting, according to Bloomberg.

A partner at accounting firm Spielman Koenigsberg & Parker LLP was fined $150,000 for allegedly misleading investigators, the largest monetary penalty imposed on an individual in a case settled by the U.S. auditing watchdog. The regulator also permanently barred Mr. Taylor from associating with a PCAOB-registered accounting firm. Mr. Taylor became a partner at the firm in 1999, according to the firm’s website. Neither Mr. Taylor nor the firm immediately responded to a request for comment. “The quality control systems at audit firms are fundamental to audit quality and regulatory compliance,” Mark Adler, the acting director of the PCAOB’s division of enforcement and investigations, said in a statement.
