The new book, "The Fund: Ray Dalio, Bridgewater Associates, and the Unraveling of a Wall Street Legend" — which Dalio and his lawyers have pushed back against — describes everything from Bridgewater's investment process to internal grudges and backstabbing to allegations of sexual harassment. Here are the places where the dozens of Bridgewater employees and consultants named in the book ended up. Dalio, the book said, wrote into the firm's bylaws that he could never hold that title again. Before that, she was the head of investment research and a co-chief investment officer for sustainability. The companies trying to sell trucks to fleet operators are including driver-assist tech as a way to make the vehicles more attractive, Gui said. In addition, Chinese authorities require all newly manufactured trucks since 2022 to come with basic driver-assist tech for warning against forward collision and lane departure, Gui said. The startup claims its trucks cost about 5% less than traditional options, on top of safety and environmental benefits. PlatooningOther startups are testing out different forms of driver-assist trucks in China.

The artificial intelligence behind ChatGPT-like products and autonomous driving is driving enormous demand for Nvidia's chips in China. Chinese companies also dominate the burgeoning electric car market , where Nvidia has had a fast-growing business of selling chips for assisted and fully autonomous driving. When it comes to such chips for cars, Nomura analysts said there's little reason to worry. Auto chip market BYD, Nio , Li Auto and Xpeng are among the China-based electric automakers using the Orin chip. In the automotive chip category, they noted Nvidia's Thor chip and Qualcomm's Snapdragon Ride Flex chip both fall into that more advanced category.

"This is a new 'blue ocean' market," he said, using a phrase that describes an underdeveloped market with few competitors. Over the next three to five years, Inceptio is looking at offering services to help manage truck fleets, Ma said. Inceptio eventually hopes that trucks will be eventually allowed to go fully autonomous, enabling it to build a robotruck fleet.

You might be surprised to learn that the place with the most polluted air in the U.S. isn't a big city, but a small town in California. This month, The Guardian released an analysis in conjunction with a group of researchers from several institutions, including the University of Washington, to rank the neighborhoods across the contiguous U.S. that have the worst air pollution. Julian Marshall, professor of environmental engineering at the University of Washington, told The Guardian that the analysis shows that neighborhoods with the worst air quality were predominantly Black and Hispanic. "What we're seeing here is segregation," Marshall said. "You have segregation of people and segregation of pollution."
