Silvano Marchetto, an Italian-born restaurateur whose Greenwich Village trattoria, Da Silvano, became a star-studded canteen and a Page Six fixture over four decades, died on June 4 in Florence, Italy. Akin to a downtown Elaine’s, Da Silvano, which opened in 1975, was one of New York’s reigning haunts for the art, fashion, media and film crowds. And Mr. Marchetto, a hard-living Tuscan who parked his Ferrari ornamentally outside his establishment, was its rustic host and mascot. He wore Hawaiian shirts and yellow pants, and his wrists were covered in silver bracelets and jewelry. Before social media democratized the public’s access to the lives of celebrities, tabloids like The New York Post and The Daily News relied on Da Silvano as a source of juicy gossip.

I tried chicken tenders from Popeyes, Chick-fil-A, Whataburger, Raising Cane's, KFC, Bojangles, Zaxby's, and Cook Out. Popeyes' and KFC's chicken tenders were similar in their crispy texture and flavor. Raising Cane's impressed me with its crispy-yet-juicy tenders and delicious signature sauce. AdvertisementI compared chicken tenders from eight different fast-food chains from across the country, and a lesser-known — but quickly expanding — chain took the top spot. Chicken is a hugely popular item at many fast-food chains, and some chains have built their entire business off this one menu item.

The porn videos had titles like "Juicy Anniversary" and "Bedroom Shenanigans." In search of a man for Wilson, Gow sought advice from his therapist, who suggested joining a swingers club. Although there were things I enjoyed about both chain restaurants, if I had to repeat the meal over, I'd go to Hooters. Terri PetersThere were things I enjoyed about both Hooters and Buffalo Wild Wings but, if I had to order the same meal again, I'd return to Hooters with one slight change: I'd order the naked wings instead of the breaded ones. Overall, my pick for the best hot wings at Hooters would be naked wings with 3 Mile Island sauce all the way. Still, there were places Buffalo Wild Wings fell flat — it was hard to ignore those disappointing mozzarella sticks. I'd return to both restaurants, though.

How Red Lobster choked on its own Endless Shrimp deal
  + stars: | 2024-05-21 | by ( Allison Morrow | ) edition.cnn.com   time to read: +4 min
First, Red Lobster got screwed by private equity. Back in 2014, the Darden restaurant group spun off Red Lobster to a private equity firm. Thai Union, under Kenny’s direction, elbowed out other shrimp suppliers, “leaving Thai Union with an exclusive deal that led to higher costs to Red Lobster,” according to the filing. And if you’re the exclusive provider of shrimp to America’s biggest seafood chain, what’d be better than making that limited-time all-you-can-eat shrimp deal a permanent menu item? The all-you-can-eat shrimp deal alone didn’t doom Red Lobster, but boy did it do some damage at a time when the chain was already buckling.

Have you all noticed the Republican stars and wannabes showing up at Donald Trump’s trial? For its part, Team Trump may just be happy to have some respectable, unindicted players on Mr. Trump’s side. Stormy Daniels as We Had Never Seen Her

There is a certain irony to the fact that the most consequential role Stormy Daniels, the adult entertainer at the heart of the Trump criminal trial, may ever play is taking place off screen. Her blond hair was caught up in the back with bits escaping to shield her face, and she was wearing black-frame glasses and little makeup. On Thursday, when her cross-examination resumed, she was obscured by the same dark cloak, though underneath was a plain green dress. She wore her hair down and a necklace her daughter had made. Ms. Daniels has often been discussed as the most colorful part of the case — the bringer of salacious detail, the source of the juicy tell-all.

I tried Chili's Big Smasher burger, the chain's first new burger in three years. Investors can lock in some juicy real yields with Treasury inflation-protected securities, according to UBS. "The result has been rising real yields further out the curve, offering the opportunity to lock in attractive real yields ahead of expected falling nominal yields later this year," she added. Treasury yields are expected to decline when the Federal Reserve starts reducing the fed funds rate. Nominal yields have been rising as the market reassesses those interest rate expectations. "Our expectation of declining nominal yields in the second half of the year will be a tailwind to performance," she said.

As fast-food prices increase, customers are finding more value in chain restaurants. Chains like Chili's are rolling out deals and portion sizes that could best fast-food chains. Chili's new Big Smasher burger is the latest offensive move in the value wars. The Big Smasher burger, Chili's newest menu item, was served in the company's test kitchen before its official launch on April 29. CNN —Welcome to week two of the Trump 2016 election interference trial. And the case Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg brought is, at heart, a documents case – Trump has been charged with 34 counts of felony record falsification, actions allegedly taken to cover up hush money payoffs connected to the 2016 election. But as demonstrated by longtime Trump assistant Rhona Graff’s testimony Friday afternoon, the methodical nature of the testimony and evidence doesn’t mean it will be dull for the jury. The testimony of Gary Farro, Cohen’s onetime banker, is emblematic of what we are likely to hear from other witnesses this week. When defense counsel elicited from Graff on cross-examination that Trump was a good boss, she became a free character witness.
