Just three years ago, Eriksen collapsed on the pitch after suffering cardiac arrest during Denmark’s group match against Finland at Euro 2020, which was delayed by a year due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The Danish captain received life-saving treatment on the pitch, eventually being resuscitated and taken to hospital. The image of Eriksen celebrating his goal – a huge grin plastered across his face – was in stark contrast to the distressing scenes at Euro 2020. DORTMUND, Germany, May 7 (Reuters) - Borussia Dortmund demolished hapless VfL Wolfsburg 6-0 on Sunday, with two goals apiece from Karim Adeyemi and Jude Bellingham, to stay hot on the heels of Bundesliga leaders Bayern with three games left in the season. Dortmund are now on 64 points, one behind Bayern, 2-1 winners against Werder Bremen on Saturday. "We are satisfied today but a long way from happy," said Dortmund coach Edin Terzic. Dortmund host Borussia Moenchengladbach next Saturday while Bayern take on Schalke 04. Instead it was Dortmund who struck again in the 28th when Adeyemi delivered a pin-point assist for Sebastien Haller to tap in.

ASTANA, March 26 (Reuters) - Kazakhstan scored three times in the final 17 minutes to complete a remarkable 3-2 win over Denmark in Group H of their Euro 2024 qualifying campaign on Sunday. Baktiyor Zainutdinov scored a penalty after a foul by Denmark's Jonas Wind in the 73rd minute to give the hosts hope, but it looked like Denmark would hold on. Askhat Tagybergen then equalised in the 86th minute with a shot from outside the box before striker Abat Aimbetov headed in one minute before time to complete the comeback for the 115th ranked side in the world. Six minutes into stoppage time, Aimbetov received his second yellow card and was sent off after elbowing a Danish player.
