Of those, 485 UAP reports occurred within that reporting period, and another 272 occurred between 2021 and 2022 but hadn't been included in previous annual UAP reports. Overall, the AARO has received 1,652 UAP reports total as of Oct. 24, 2024. “It is important to underscore that, to date, AARO has discovered no evidence of extraterrestrial beings, activity or technology,” the report said. Of the UAP reports, 81 originated from U.S. military operating areas. Of the new reports, 392 were from the Federal Aviation Administration and make up all of the FAA’s UAP reports since 2021.

CNN —Republicans flipped the Senate, but Democratic candidates often outran the top of the ticket, winning at least four battleground states that Vice President Kamala Harris lost. Harris lost all seven swing states to President-elect Donald Trump, while her party’s Senate candidates narrowly held Wisconsin, Nevada and open seats in Michigan and Arizona. In some races, the differences between the Senate candidates’ and Harris’ performances were more pronounced among subsections of the Democratic coalition. While Trump won independents by 2 points, Rosen won the group by 6. Overall, Democratic Senate candidates received more votes than Harris in about half of this year’s races, including in less competitive states such as Minnesota, Virginia and Missouri.

Sheehy, a former Navy SEAL, defeated the three-term senator by consolidating Republican voters in a state that has turned a deeper shade of red in recent years. Sheehy and his allies cast Tester as a liberal Democrat who votes with President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, undercutting the incumbent’s reputation as a centrist. But Democrats were cautiously optimistic that Montana voters would look at the presidential race and the Senate race through different lenses. While Sheehy had said he would respect Montana voters’ decision on the issue, he appeared open to supporting federal action on abortion, which Democrats exploited on the campaign trail and on the airwaves.

CNN —Republican Tim Sheehy will defeat three-term Montana Sen. Jon Tester, CNN projects, adding to Republicans’ newly won Senate majority. Montana has long been a deep-red state in presidential elections — and every other statewide office is currently held by a Republican. Still, his seat – alongside Democratic-held seats in two other red states, Ohio and West Virginia – was a prime Republican target this year. One big question mark hovering over the race was a ballot measure that would enshrine the right to an abortion in Montana’s constitution. Jim Justice was projected to pick up the Senate seat vacated by retiring Democrat-turned-independent Sen. Joe Manchin. And in Nebraska, CNN projects that Republican Sen. Montana Republican Senate candidate Tim Sheehy struggled in a new interview to give a clear explanation about the circumstances surrounding an incident in a national park in 2015 that led to him being treated for a gunshot wound and receiving a fine. All accounts agree that, as first reported by the Washington Post this spring, Sheehy went to the hospital after his gun went off in Glacier National Park in 2015 (firing a weapon is illegal in a national park). The ranger said Sheehy told him he had accidentally shot himself in the arm, and Sheehy then went to the hospital for treatment. He was given a $525 ticket for the gun going off at Glacier National Park and paid it, he told the Post in April, to avoid an investigation into his unit. Kelly this week pressed Sheehy about any medical records that would help to confirm his account of what happened; Sheehy responded that those records do not exist.
