Mulvaney took home the award for breakout creator at the Sunday night award ceremony, beating out TikTok it girl Alex Earle and Jake Shane — a.k.a. Conservative critics called for a boycott of the Bud Light brand, and LGBTQ+ advocates called on Bud Light to make clear its support for the LGBTQ+ community. The Bud Light controversy may be dying down: Bud Light sales took a hit in the months following the April post, but are now showing signs of a rebound.
