Even as the S & P 500 nears a new high, JPMorgan's Dubravko Lakos-Bujas remains relatively pessimistic on how 2024 will pan out.
In a Friday client report, he called the early results and forward guidance from S & P 500 companies "lackluster."
Just about one out of every 10 S & P 500 companies has reported results, according to FactSet.
His concerns come as the S & P 500 is poised to hit an all-time high closing level on Friday.
The average analyst has a 4,914 target for the S & P 500 at the end of 2024, according to CNBC Pro's Market Strategist Survey.
