Now, new evidence from a skull more than 4,000 years old has revealed that ancient Egyptian physicians may have tried to treat certain cancers with surgery. “We can see that ancient Egyptian medicine was not solely based on herbal remedies like medicine in other ancient civilizations,” said Badr, who was not involved in the new research. “There is an urgent need to reevaluate the history of Egyptian medicine using these scientific methodologies,” Badr said. Şapte persoane au fost acuzate de „omor simplu cu premeditare” de către procurorii care anchetează moartea fostului fotbalist Diego Maradona, informează agenţia EFE, citată de News.ro și libertatea.ro. Toți cei șapte acuzați, al căror proces va începe la 31 mai, sunt profesionişti din domeniul medical care s-au ocupat de îngrijirea lui Diego Maradona. Conform raportului, performanţa echipei sanitare care l-a asistat pe Diego Maradona a fost „inadecvată, deficitară şi nesăbuită” şi a lăsat în voia sorţii starea de sănătate a pacientului. Pentru această infracţiune, cei șapte acuzați pot primi pedepse de 8 până la 25 de ani de închisoare.
