Los Angeles graffiti artists and squatters seem to be drawn to the abandoned mansions of Hollywood producer John Powers Middleton. The defaced domiciles are located about five miles apart in the Hollywood Hills, and residents of the posh Los Angeles neighborhood say the buildings have become eyesores. CNN —The Los Angeles Police Department on Sunday released photos of three individuals suspected of being involved in the fatal shooting of former “General Hospital” actor Johnny Wactor in May. The grainy photos released by LAPD on Sunday show three individuals wearing hooded sweatshirts, and police indicated the man who fired the weapon has a tattoo above his left eye and the right cheek. His mother told CNN affiliate KABC that her son had been walking with one of his coworkers when he saw what he thought was someone working on a car. LAPD told CNN at the time that three men were trying to steal a catalytic converter when the victim interrupted them. One of the suspects pulled out a gun and shot the victim before the men drove off in a vehicle, according to police.

CNN —MrBeast, the incredibly popular YouTuber with a nice-guy reputation, is facing scrutiny for resurfaced racist comments he made years ago online. A spokesperson for MrBeast acknowledged the star used “inappropriate language” in his humor. “When Jimmy was a teenager he acted like many kids and used inappropriate language while trying to be funny,” a spokesperson for Donaldson told CNN in a statement. His videos – some featuring competitions and stunts, others focused on philanthropic work – typically surpass more than 100 million views. CNN has reached out to Prime Video for comment.

CNN —An Australian teenager of Samoan heritage has been announced as the star of the upcoming live-action version of the hit Disney movie “Moana.”Seventeen-year-old Catherine Laga‘aia has been cast as the eponymous heroine of the movie, which begins filming this summer. She is no stranger to showbiz, however, as her father is Jay Laga‘aia, a New Zealand-born actor who starred in two of the “Star Wars” movies. He is also one of the movie’s producers, alongside, among others, “Hamilton” creator Lin-Manuel Miranda, who wrote much of the original movie’s soundtrack. Auli’i Cravalho starred as Moana in the original film, along with Rachel House, Nicole Scherzinger and Temuera Morrison.
