The trade was disclosed in a regulatory filing Thursday, sending Salesforce shares up around 3.5% on the news in morning trading. However, it is counter to Trian's proxy recommendations, and it doesn't mesh with the public statements Peltz has made about wanting to work together with management if he is elected to the Disney board. In recent weeks, Disney has stepped up its attacks on Trian and Peltz. "Disney is stupid because I'm not trying to fire Bob Iger, I want to help him," Peltz recently told the Financial Times.
