I was told to earn just enough to live, don't complain, get a stable job, stay there forever, and never, ever talk about money. After I got married and had kids, I quit my job because I wasn't making enough to pay for daycare. I became focused on money after my divorceSuddenly, I realized I needed to make a lot of money to support my household without a partner. The people around me told me I was a good person and I deserved a lot, including money and financial stability. I don't want my kids to be afraid of the worldI realize now I had a lot of fear because of my upbringing.
