They can now add AI recruiting systems to that pile. It turns hiring into a depersonalized process, it inundates hiring managers, and it reinforces weaknesses in the system it's designed to improve. AI is supposed to fix this mess, saving companies time and money by outsourcing even more of the hiring process to machine-learning algorithms. Platforms like LinkedIn and ZipRecruiter have started using generative AI to offer candidates personalized job recommendations and let recruiters generate listings in seconds. Several seasoned recruiters told me they hadn't incorporated AI into their workflow beyond auto-generating job descriptions and summarizing candidate calls.

[GUITAR PLAYING] I really think folk music can find its origins in all Black music. [BANJO PLAYING] The main thing about folk is it is a storytelling genre. So any genre that conveys a story to the audience I would consider folk music. [FOLK MUSIC PLAYING] There was a particular act called the Carolina Chocolate Drops. I’m also trying to lift up all the different voices so that we have a more well-rounded picture of African-American folk music traditions.

We’re looking back at the strongest, smartest opinion takes of the week from CNN and other outlets. Graduates of Harvard and other Ivy League schools earn significantly more than most college graduates –— the credential opens doors. Maybe the best confirmation of that is that eight out of the nine Supreme Court justices went to law school at either Harvard or its Ivy rival, Yale. “The court’s decision Thursday is consistent with its view that race-based preferences should and would have a limited shelf life. And the Supreme Court has just guaranteed that this will be the case for many years to come.”“The court made the right decision,” wrote Ilya Somin, a law professor at George Mason University.

Editor’s Note: In the new season of “Chasing Life,” CNN Chief Medical Correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta explores how to make the most of whatever age you’re at. Tune in to hear Dr. Sanjay Gupta interview his parents, and learn how changing our mindset around aging can influence our health and longevity. An Air Fryer for sale at Kroger Marketplace in Versailles, Kentucky, U.S., on Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2020. Adam Graves, president of Nestle U.S.'s pizza and snacking division, said the company is leaning into the air fryer boom through its frozen food brands, specifically to offer customers more value. Other Nestle products, like Hot Pockets, now include air fryer cooking instructions alongside directions for heating up in the microwave and oven. Tyson is also a third of the way through adding air fryer directions to its packaging for its frozen prepared foods. The air fryer directions are boosting Tyson's brand favorability, according to Hall, who cited recent brand health data.
[1/2] A sign is seen during Gabby Petito's memorial service in Holbrook, New York, U.S., September 26, 2021. "The Petito family lost their daughter, and they were also denied the opportunity to confront her killer," Patrick Reilly, a lawyer for Petito's parents, said in a statement. "No amount of money is sufficient to compensate the Petito family for the loss of their daughter, Gabby, at the hands of Brian Laundrie." Any money recovered will go to the Gabby Petito Foundation, a nonprofit formed after her death that helps organizations that support locating missing persons and aids victims of domestic violence, Reilly said. A separate lawsuit that Petito's parents filed against Laundrie's parents, alleging their son told them of Petito's slaying before her body was discovered, remains pending.
All of those factors make Washoe County the ultimate battleground for Cortez Masto and Laxalt. Both campaigns say that in the final 11 days, they’re swamping Washoe County with TV ads, canvassers and events. “Without a significant win in Washoe County, she has very few paths of winning Nevada.”Washoe County eluded Cortez Masto and Laxalt in their most recent statewide races. “The Democrats keep harping on that item here,” Bruce Parks, the Washoe County Republican chair, said of the abortion issue. “As I talk to Nevadans, including in Washoe County, it’s a combination of things — it’s not just the kitchen table issues,” she said.
