Darden Restaurants will acquire Chuy's Holdings for approximately $605 million in cash, the companies announced jointly on Wednesday. Darden agreed to acquire all outstanding shares of Chuy's at $37.50 per share, according to a press release. "Based on our criteria for adding a brand to the Darden portfolio, we believe Chuy's is an excellent fit that supports our winning strategy," Darden CEO Rick Cardenas said in a statement. "I am excited to welcome their 7,400 team members to Darden and diversify the Darden portfolio into a new dining category." Cardenas said in the press release that Chuy's has strong performance and growth potential.

Hislop was on camera alongside his co-host Dan Thomas, who was speaking during pre-match coverage when Hislop stumbled forward, bumped into Thomas and fell to the ground, video shows. Thomas could be seen immediately calling for the medical staff before the broadcast cut to commercials. CNN —My little boy, who is not quite 9, would like to go to a professional football game here in Britain where we live. A 2021 survey found a third of ethnic minority football fans had experienced racism at stadiums, and in England and Wales, race-related hate crimes at matches are on the rise. Clubs whose fans or players commit hate crimes should have points deducted, impacting their position in their league. For national teams, racist behavior by fans or players should result in a tournament ban. While diversity among football players is high, representation off the pitch is shockingly poor at every level.

The cost of developing offshore wind has dropped 60% since 2010 according to a July report by the International Renewable Energy Agency. Offshore wind is well established in the U.K. and some other countries but is just beginning to ramp up off America’s coasts, and this is the nation’s first foray into floating wind turbines. Europe has some floating offshore wind — a project in the North Sea has been operating since 2017 — but the potential for the technology is huge in areas of strong wind off America’s coasts, said Josh Kaplowitz, vice president of offshore wind at the American Clean Power Association. President Joe Biden set a goal of deploying 30 gigawatts of offshore wind by 2030 using traditional technology that secures wind turbines to the ocean floor, enough to power 10 million homes. Then the administration announced plans in September to develop floating platforms that could vastly expand offshore wind in the United States.
