I met my now husband, a handsome bohemian Italian artist, during my first summer living in Italy almost 10 years ago. But I've always loved being a momHowever, I love being a mom more than anything in this world. And so does my husband, who quite frankly, never had planned to get married again (I'm his second wife). We both love each other very much, even if there are things we don't love about being married — that doesn't mean our marriage isn't a strong one. The important thing is that we love each other (my husband often reminds me that he loves me more than himself) and love our babies and want to build a life together for us.

But both inflation and economic growth have upside and downside risks relative to consensus. AdvertisementOn inflation, Arnott believes it's far more likely that it surprises to the upside. AdvertisementTo take advantage of these asymmetries in the market, Arnott said that value stocks and TIPS are two investments that would perform well in a higher-inflation environment. One way investors can gain exposure to these assets is through funds like the iShares Core S&P U.S. Value ETF (IUSV), the Schwab U.S. More specifically, value stocks within both developed and emerging markets are trading in their "cheapest decile ever" compared to growth stocks, Arnott said.

One of the best performing stocks in the underperforming energy sector looks ready for another potential up leg, according to the charts. The Energy Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLE) has underperformed the S & P 500 thus far in 2024, but with a year-to-date gain of about 8.5%, it's actually the fifth best sector out of 11. From the closing low in May 2023 to its recent closing high on April 5, it gained a whopping 109%. However, when the stock finally emerged from that condition a year ago, demand resurfaced, and the strong advance commenced. Whatever happened to the two-door car?
  + stars: | 2024-04-20 | by ( Peter Valdes-Dapena | ) edition.cnn.com   time to read: +6 min
There are still two-door cars today, of course, but they’re almost all high-performance sports cars not intended for comfortable cruising. For car designers, two-door models can offer more striking proportions to play with, long hoods that evoke power and tapered, aerodynamic back ends. Today, it’s rare to see a two-door car that isn’t a performance model like the Mustang or Corvette. Today, if you have a two-door car and you have kids, you also have a backache. While some two-door cars used to be bargain items – the cheapest entry-level cars were almost always two-door hatchbacks – today two-door models are seen mostly in European luxury car showrooms.

Daniel A. Moore Sr., who created a pioneering African American history museum in Atlanta when such initiatives were rare, died on March 4 in Decatur, Ga. His death, in a hospital, was confirmed by his son Dan Moore Jr.Mr. Moore started his eclectic collection of artifacts in 1978 and in 1984 moved it to a handsome 1910 brick building on Auburn Avenue, known as “Sweet Auburn” for its centrality to African American history. The building, which had been a schoolbook depository and a tire warehouse, was “erected brick by brick by African American masons,” the museum says. Mr. Moore took a longer view, though memories of the civil rights movement were still fresh when he was getting started, with help from a handful of well-off patrons and from Fulton County, which donated the land. Unlike the King Center, his focus was on the whole African American experience, from Africa to the Middle Passage, and from enslavement to the civil rights campaign and beyond.
