The total number of displaced civilians in the Gaza Strip amid Israeli airstrikes has reached around 340,000, according to a United Nations official in the enclave.
Around 65% of those people are taking cover at U.N. schools or designated shelters, Hamada El Bayari said.
"What we are witnessing is really beyond imagination," he said.
"The toll this war is taking is really huge and seems unprecedented."
