The U.S., Israel's top ally, instead hopes to broker a cease-fire agreement and hostage release between Israel and Hamas, and envisions a wider resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. In a post on X, formerly Twitter, he said there are still about 200 patients in the hospital, including 20 who need urgent referrals to other hospitals. Israel says it has arrested over 100 suspected militants, including 20 who it says participated in Hamas' Oct. 7 attack on Israel, without providing evidence. He also said Israel has not presented specific evidence for its claims that Hamas is diverting U.N. aid.

The swift rise in long-term US Treasury yields over the past few months caused headaches for investors by dragging many of their portfolios down. Bond yields, namely the yield on the 10-year Treasury note, dictate the interest rates on credit cards, mortgages and auto loans. Fed Chair Jerome Powell addressed that at this month’s post-meeting press conference, saying he couldn’t pinpoint exactly why yields rose so much in recent weeks. Hours before Powell’s post-meeting remarks, bond yields plunged following the Treasury Department’s quarterly refunding announcement. That’s as opposed to letting bond yields do the Fed’s work for it.

Echipa națională de fotbal a Republicii Moldova a aflat locul disputării meciului amical cu selecționata Turciei. Pe 3 iunie, discipolii lui Roberto Bordin vor juca cu una dintre finalistele Euro 2020 pe Benteler Arena din orașul Paderborn, Germania.Anume în această țară, trupa lui Şenol Güneş va efectua ultimele pregătiri pentru Campionatul European. Partida Turcia – Moldova va fi transmisă în direct de postul de televiziune Canal 5, cu începere de la ora 20:00.Pe 6 iunie, „tricolorii” au programat un alt amical, cu reprezentativa Azerbaidjanului. Meciul va avea loc pe stadionul Zimbru din Chișinău și va fi televizat în direct de PRIME, cu începere de la ora 19:00.Cele două partide reprezintă o etapă de pregătire a echipei naționale a Republicii Moldova de următoarele confruntări din preliminariile Campionatului Mondial din 2022.

Turcia se pregătește de turneul final al Euro 2020, unde va evolua într-o grupă cu Italia, Țara Galilor și Elveția.Anterior, Moldova a jucat 11 meciuri cu Turcia. Naționala țării noastre a obținut două remize și a pierdut alte 9 partide.După amicalul cu trupa lui Şenol Güneş, Moldova va întâlni reprezentativa Azerbaidjanului, pe 6 iunie, pe stadionul Zimbru din Chișinău.Discipolii lui Roberto Bordin se pregătesc, astfel, de meciurile din septembrie, din cadrul preliminariilor Campionatului Mondial din 2022. În prima lună a toamnei, Moldova va juca acasă cu Austria, iar apoi în deplasare cu Scoția și Insulele Feroe.
