CNN —Twenty-four hours and 26 minutes, without stopping to sleep: Nepal’s Phunjo Lama has just broken the world record for the fastest ascent of Mount Everest by a woman. Her journey from Everest Base Camp to the top took 14 hours and 31 minutes, then the descent from Everest was another nine hours and 18 minutes. Due to the limited climbing season and challenging conditions on Mount Everest, the window to reach the top of the mountain is small. That record was broken in 2021 by Hong Kong native Ada Tsang in 25 hours and 50 minutes. Currently, the record for fastest ascent by a male climber is 10 hours and 56 minutes, set by Nepali Lhakpa Gelu Sherpa in 2003.

Now, French bakers have taken the record for the longest baguette ever made. The lengthy loaf was made in public on Sunday during the Suresnes Baguette Show at the Terrasse du Fécheray observation deck in France’s suburban western commune of Suresnes, near Paris. A Guinness World Records (GWR) judge was there to approve the record, according to Reuters. French bakers try not to crack the baguette when it comes out of a large rotating oven. The attempt to beat the record for the world’s longest baguette was to give homage to that recognized heritage and culture, according to the Suresnes release.

The fruit was picked on November 13 and the record for heaviest blueberry was confirmed this week, a spokesperson for Guinness World Records told CNN on Friday. It was grown in Corindi, New South Wales, Australia, by staff at blueberry grower Costa Group. CNN —Bobi the dog, who died last year reportedly at the age of 31, has been stripped of the world’s oldest ever dog title following a review by Guinness World Records (GWR), the organization announced Thursday. Bobi, a Rafeiro do Alentejo, had been known as the world’s oldest dog until he provisionally lost his title in January pending the result of a GWR investigation. For now, it is not clear who holds the title of oldest dog ever. “We’re not yet in a position to confirm a new holder for the record, although we certainly hope that the publicity around the record title encourages pet owners from around the world to get in touch,” said McKinley. Bobi was a purebred Rafeiro do Alentejo – a breed of livestock guardian dog – according to his owner.
