Everyday investors can soon buy shares in the music rights to the "Shrek" franchise. Public will offer 88,970 shares in the "Shrek" music rights for $10 each. And after the launch of the "Shrek" investment vehicle, Platform plans to expand to other music royalties. Similarly, startups such as JKBX are also looking to acquire music royalties to offer similar options to individual traders. Meanwhile, music royalties are not the only alternative investments opening up to retail investors.

Shares of the British chip designer closed up 24.7% in their Nasdaq debut on Thursday, giving it a market value of $65 billion. “The Nasdaq 100 is the most likely widely followed index for the company to get added into,” said Todd Rosenbluth, Head of Research at VettaFi. However, inclusion in the Nasdaq 100 may take time for Arm shares. Inclusion of Arm shares in the S&P 500, which is the standard benchmark for the U.S. stock market, is far less certain, analysts said.

☆ New ETF looks to tap hot market for zero-day options

Miami-based ETF sponsor Defiance ETFs LLC launched the Defiance Nasdaq-100 Enhanced Option Income ETF on Thursday, the first ETF to use daily options income generation, the ETF sponsor said in a press release. The ETF seeks to tap into the dual popularity of short-dated options contracts and the heightened interest in ETFs that seek to generate income through a combination of selling options and investing in U.S. large cap stocks. Investors have also flocked to ETFs that look to generate income and reduce portfolio volatility by selling options against stocks. One such ETF - the JPMorgan Equity Premium Income ETF (JEPI.P) - has grown its assets to about $29.5 billion from about $12.4 billion a year ago. Defiance ETFs is set to launch two other ETFs - the Defiance S&P 500 Enhanced Options Income ETF and Defiance R2000 Enhanced Options Income ETF , which will employ a similar strategy with exposure to the S&P 500 (.SPX) and the Russell 2000 Indexes (.RUT), respectively.

LONDON, April 19 (Reuters) - Singers Harry Styles and Kate Bush are among the nominees at next month's Ivors, the annual awards honouring songwriters and screen composers. Styles has three nominations overall, including best song musically and lyrically for "As It Was" and songwriter of the year alongside his collaborator Kid Harpoon. Tom Odell’s "Best Day of My Life", Katie Gregson-Macleod’s "complex", Sault's "Stronger" and Florence + the Machine’s "King" complete the Best Song Musically and Lyrically category. Box office hit "Avatar: The Way of Water" and psychological drama "Don't Worry Darling" are among the nominees for best original film score. Named after the early 20th century Welsh composer, actor and entertainer Ivor Novello, the Ivor Awards were first handed out in 1956.
