It's an urgent question — what do we do with the 40 million tons of plastic waste we produce annually? One year of plastic waste is roughly enough to smother the entirety of Manhattan a meter deep, and it has to go somewhere. For decades, America sent its plastic waste to countries like China and Indonesia. Unlike aluminum or glass, the plastic that can be recycled rarely results in replacing one recycled water bottle with another. By downcycling a tiny portion of plastic waste, companies can genuinely reuse a relatively small share of plastic, while convincing consumers that the industry has created a circular economy of infinitely recycled plastic.

Ultima versiune din 2007 a Planului Urbanistic General al Chișinăului a fost recent digitalizată și publicată pe o platformă online. „Operațiunea” a fost realizată de primărie cu susținerea UNDP Moldova și Green City Lab și include mai multe Planuri Urbanistice Zonale din aceeași perioadă. Planul Urbanistic General a fost adoptat în 2007, când în Chișinău încă era liniște la capitolul politic. Rezultatele acestui gen de «dezvoltare» putem să le vedem în fostele cartiere istorice situate între bulevardele Negruzzi, Cantemir și strada Ismail, identitatea cărora a fost ștearsă. Potrivit arhitectului, conform bunelor practici internaționale, principala politică este de a evita dezvoltarea „monocentrică” a orașului și a trece la modelul „policentric” prin crearea unor noi spații pentru diferite centre de afaceri, comerciale, hub-uri, sedii ale companiilor mari, etc.

Piața auto a arătat că este interesată de alternative de transport electric care oferă o serie de avantaje la nivel de utilizatori, dar și pentru întreaga societate. Calea automobilelor electrice, cu toate aspectele, este calea de urmat pe partea de politici și promovare a unui mod verde de mobilitate din partea autorităților. Potrivit lui, piața e destul de slab dezvoltată pentru a impune anumite impedimente. Recent, cu suportul UE și partenerilor europeni au fost procurate 12 locomotive care nu sunt electrice, dar au un nivel mult mai bun de consum de combustibil. Prioritate are și un proiect de electrificare a liniei de cale ferată pe sectoarele unde acest lucru e posibil.
