Survivors recounted giving birth to children fathered by Boko Haram fighters, often when they were still minors themselves. They described being humiliated by soldiers who called them “wives of Boko Haram” and accused them of being behind killings carried out by the terror group. One of them, named NV in the report, said she fled Boko Haram in 2021 when she was around 20. She had been forcibly married to a Boko Haram fighter while in captivity but remarried while living in the IDP for an extended period. Many survivors of Boko Haram told Amnesty that they witnessed Boko Haram killing their relatives.

On Monday, the Nifty 50 (.NSEI) and the S&P BSE Sensex (.BSESN) closed mostly unchanged at 19,674.55 points, and 65,958 points, respectively. Foreign investors have been net sellers so far this month, offloading shares worth $1.36 billion, as of Sept. 22 after pouring in over $15 billion into Indian equities this year. On Monday, foreign institutional investors sold 23.33 billion rupees worth of shares, while domestic investors bought 15.79 billion rupees worth of shares, as per provisional exchange data.

BANGKOK, May 8 (Reuters) - Japanese carmaker Toyota Motor Corp (7203.T) has stopped sales of its Yaris Ativ, a senior official said on Monday, after its affiliate Daihatsu rigged part of the door in side-collision safety tests. "If development had been carried out under appropriate conditions, this kind of problem would of course not have happened," Maeda said. Toyota and Daihatsu (6023.T) disclosed last month they were investigating how part of the door in side-collision safety tests carried out for some 88,000 small cars, most of which were Ativs, had been changed for the purpose of side-on crash safety testing. Thailand is Toyota's fourth-biggest global centre by production volume after Japan, the U.S. and China. It produced some 659,000 vehicles, including models of its luxury brand Lexus, in the country last year.

LONDON, March 30 (Reuters) - London is no longer the clear leader among global financial centres after New York rose from second place to level peg with the British capital as more companies list in the United States, the City of London Corporation's said on Thursday. The City, which administers London's financial district, said in its annual survey that benchmarks on the performance of global financial centres gave London an overall competitiveness score of 60, up from 59 in 2022, but New York increased its score to 60. New York overtook London in 2018 to become the top global financial centre in the separate Z/Yen survey. The City is due in the third quarter to set out recommendations for a long-term blueprint to "kickstart" London's role as a post-Brexit global financial centre by 2030. "The UK remains one of the most open and global financial centres with better access to international markets than the US, France, or Japan.
