In Sunday's referendum, Venezuelan voters rejected the jurisdiction of the International Court of Justice over their country's territorial dispute with Guyana and supported the creation of a new Venezuelan state in the potentially oil-rich Esequibo region. Brazil did not ask Venezuela to cancel the vote, but President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva's government is expected to criticize the stepped up Venezuelan campaign for the Esequibo. An international tribunal in Paris in 1899 settled the issue, but Venezuela says the ruling was rigged.

The muted cars are suddenly popping up everywhere, lining freeways and parking lots in unassuming shades of gray, black, brown, tan, and green. "The term 'stealth' comes to mind when we see a car in matte gray or matte black. Deşi metroul londonez cu aburi a fost inaugurat primul, în 1863, Budapesta revendică primul metrou electric de pe continent. Designerul construcţiei liniei de metrou a fost firma germană Siemens & Halske. Acest tronson a fost construit în întregime de la suprafaţă, metoda taie şi acoperă folosită în realizarea tranşeelor pe front. În ciuda diferitelor adversităţi care erau imprevizibile atunci când a fost planificat proiectul de pionierat, metroul a fost finalizat la timp. Muzeul subteran Millennium a fost deschis publicului din 1975, iar în 1996, la 100 de ani de la lansarea metroului - pe lângă întreaga linie de metrou -, muzeul însuşi a fost reînnoit.
