Chinese state media played up the warm diplomacy, with headlines proclaiming China’s “ironclad” bond with Serbia and “golden friendship” with Hungary. Both are sure to closely watch any summit between Xi and Russian President Vladimir Putin in China, expected to happen soon. Chinese leader Xi Jinping is welcomed at the airport in Belgrade on May 7 for his two-day state visit. Xi also marketed a shared worldview during his meeting with Orban in Hungary, which is a member of both the EU and NATO. Apple 's latest $110 billion stock buyback authorization is the granddaddy of them all — the biggest in corporate history. Assuming an average annual $100 billion buyback by the Club name going forward, we wanted to look at just how much that is worth to shareholders. With more records set for its installed base of active devices and services in Q2, Apple stock rose nearly 6% on Friday, the session following Thursday evening's release. The net cash position is important because Apple aims to be net cash neutral over time. At a valuation of 28 times earnings, we arrive at a share price of about $182 each, right around where it was trading Wednesday.

"The Bay Area has consistently been one of the most expensive markets in the country," said Daryl Fairweather, chief economist at Redfin. Why the New York metro area is low on the listMidtown Manhattan, New York, as seen from Hoboken, New Jersey. That's because the metro area goes beyond Manhattan and the city's four other boroughs, extending into nearby counties. "Even though Manhattan is really expensive, once you get to the outlying areas [in] the New York metro area, it actually becomes quite affordable," said Fairweather. Interested homebuyers in the region still need to earn six figures annually to afford a home, about $197,734, Redfin estimates.

CNN —The New York City Council approved a bill Thursday to make the pandemic-era outdoor dining program a permanent part of the city, with some restrictions, according to the Office of New York City Mayor Eric Adams. The city instituted the outdoor dining program in 2020 under the administration of Adams’ predecessor, Bill de Blasio, to assist the struggling restaurant industry during the height of the pandemic. Under the new bill, however, roadway dining structures such as outdoor sheds will need to be removed during the winter. Sidewalk dining will be allowed with a permit all year-round, according to a statement from the city council. The adtech company held panel sessions and meetings at the "MediaMath Penthouse." "We collectively believed as a company, board, and advisors that we had a deal in hand," the statement continued. When advertisers or agencies buy ads through a platform like MediaMath, the adtech company must pay publishers immediately for their ad space. But the adtech company must wait — often 90 days or more — to be paid by the advertiser or agency.
