☆ Why these three states are the most consistent tipping point in American politics

Trump won the presidency in 2016 by stunning Democrat Hillary Clinton to win all three states by a combined margin of about 80,000 votes. But, as in other states, Democrats have been concerned about the risk of depressed turnout and some gains for Trump among Black voters in Philadelphia. Eight years later, the two states split again, when Roosevelt comfortably won Pennsylvania and Michigan narrowly went to Republican Wendell Willkie. This trio of states has arguably become the most consistent tipping point in American politics. In the nine elections since 1920 when they split their vote, the candidate who carried two of these three states won seven times.

one of the deadliest wildfires in decades ripped through Chile’s coastal cities of Vina Del mar and Quilpué. Weeks later, some residents and firefighters questioned whether a lack of water to fight the fast moving wildfire contributed to the high death toll. Rodrigo Mundaca, one of Chile’s staunchest water rights advocates, is currently governor of the region where the wildfire hit. In march, Chile’s Congress said it would investigate the handling of the wildfire, including a lack of evacuation plans and lack of water to hydrants. And the country’s Ministry of Public Works is investigating specific complaints that Esval fall failed to provide adequate water to combat the wildfire.

The Zamfara police spokesperson did not immediately respond to Reuters' request for comment on the attack, which took place late on Friday. Residents told Reuters that gunmen on dozens of motorcycles stormed the villages of Mutunji, Kwanar-Dutse, Sabon-Garin Mahuta and Unguwar Kawo in the Maru local government area of the state. Dankandai Musa, a resident of one of the villages, told Reuters he managed to slip away unnoticed during the chaos. "I managed to escape after they were regrouping us and the people from the three other villages that were attacked," he said.

Pentru victoria în fața lui Garin, Djokovic a avut nevoie de o oră și 51 de minute. Djokovic, care are 34 de ani, va juca al 11-lea său sfert de finală la Wimbledon şi al 50-lea într-un turneu de Mare Şlem, notează AFP. El a reuşit luni al 18-lea succes consecutiv pe iarba londoneză, luând în calcul campaniile sale victorioase din 2018 şi 2019.
