A gunman shot and killed a far-right Ukrainian politician who stirred controversy with campaigns to promote the Ukrainian language and discredit Russian-speaking compatriots, the authorities say. The former lawmaker, Iryna Farion, was a highly divisive figure. A linguist who belonged to a hard-line nationalist party, she was despised by some for her denunciation of Russian-speaking fighters in elite Ukrainian military units. Many Ukrainians speak Russian, especially in eastern regions closer to Russia. “This was not a spontaneous murder,” he told a news conference on Saturday, adding that it might have been politically motivated or a personal matter.

SpaceX's COO said the company didn't intend Starlink to be "weaponized" amid the war, per reports. Gwynne Shotwell claimed the Ukrainian military had used Starlink internet in "unintentional" ways. Ukraine has used Starlink for drones to help destroy Russian tanks, The Times reported last year. However, Shotwell claimed Ukraine had used Starlink "in ways that were unintentional and not part of any agreement," according to a report by Space News. Since Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022, SpaceX has provided thousands of Starlink dishes to Ukrainians and has helped Ukrainian troops stay online.
Elon Musk said SpaceX has delivered 15,000 Starlink kits to Ukraine. It's the first time SpaceX has publicly revealed the number of Starlink kits it has sent to Ukraine. Halfway through the video a slide appears saying "15,000 Starlinks delivered to Ukraine" with a photograph showing Starlink kits laid out in what appears to be a parking lot. It's the first time SpaceX or Musk have publicly announced the number of Starlink kits sent to Ukraine since it activated its broadband service there in late February. SpaceX COO Gwynne Shotwell told CNBC in March the company had sent "thousands" of Starlink kits to Ukraine, but did not give a specific number.
