(Photo by Edward Berthelot/Getty Images)Many of the world's major fashion brands are failing to address forced labor in their supply chains, according to a report, with French luxury giant LVMH among the worst performers. The research from KnowTheChain, an organization focused on forced labor in supply chains, analyzed 65 companies for exposure to forced labor risk. Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, KnowTheChain said companies scored on average 21/100. "They remain largely reactive to human rights violations, rather than evidencing robust, embedded human rights and environmental due diligence practices designed to prevent them," it added. "As such, it demonstrates that a corporate strategy which embeds human rights due diligence does not have to come at the cost of long-term sustainable growth or investor returns."

Hoka, which started in 2009 in France as a running shoe for hardcore marathoners, is growing rapidly with casual runners, hikers and weightlifters. “There wasn’t anyone doing what Hoka was doing.”But Hoka carved out a niche in specialty running shops. Michael Cohen said that Donald Trump won't apologize for failing to condemn Kanye West. The former president "doesn't care" that his daughter's family is Jewish, Cohen said on MSNBC. Cohen was asked about a Rolling Stone article that said Jewish Republicans are "begging" Trump to denounce Ye. Cohen responded: "He doesn't care that Ivanka married Jared, doesn't care that Ivanka converted. Cohen said Trump would not apologize for failing to condemn Ye because he "can't even acknowledge fault."
Ye, the rapper formerly known as Kanye West, returned to Twitter over the weekend, writing "shalom" in one of his first posts since appearing to take a break from the platform after his account was restricted over anti-Semitic remarks. The exchange came as Ye continues to face backlash after making a string of anti-Semitic remarks, which saw both his Twitter and Instagram accounts restricted in October. Musk said last month that Ye's account had been restored by Twitter before he took ownership. However, Ye's last post on Twitter was on Nov. 4, a day after the rapper said he was taking a "verbal fast." Ye's Sunday tweets came as former President Donald Trump's Twitter account was also reinstated over the weekend after being blocked for nearly two years.
One user, however, questioned why Ye's account — which was temporarily restricted over an "anti-Jewish" comment — was "already restored." The Tesla CEO said in response that "Ye's account was restored by Twitter before the acquisition" and that he was not consulted about it. The tweet is no longer on Ye’s account, which has more than 31 million followers. Edward Berthelot / GC Images fileThe comment led to Instagram also restricting Ye's account. Ye's Twitter account was placed in a "read-only mode," which limits the user's ability to post tweets, re-tweets or like content.
