CNN —Rhyker Earl’s family says he had been living with seizures for more than seven years. But what began as a routine encounter with Jasper County Sheriff’s deputies and EMTs from nearby Keener Township that evening ended in tragedy. Less than 30 minutes after deputies arrived at his home, video shows Earl stopped breathing and had to be resuscitated. The footage shows first responders discussed whether Earl had taken illicit drugs because the sedatives were not working. For the Earl family, justice for Rhyker starts with ensuring an encounter like this doesn’t happen again.

☆ 1,800-year-old Roman statue discovered in parking lot

CNN —A Roman statue dating back almost 2,000 years has been discovered by construction workers building a parking lot in the United Kingdom. Digger driver Greg Crawley uncovered the marble head of a Roman lady at 16th century country estate Burghley House in Peterborough, England, last year while undertaking renovation works. Greg Crawley found the ancient statue head while building a parking lot. “I couldn’t believe it when they told me it was a Roman marble statue,” he added. The statue will now be displayed alongside other statues collected by the ninth earl at Burghley House.

The two-year-old chihuahua, who measures around the same length as a dollar bill, has been named the world’s shortest dog by Guinness World Records. Born in Florida on September 1 2020, Pearl is shorter than a Popsicle stick at just 3.59 inches tall. Pearl is related to previous record holder Miracle Milly, who measured 3.8 inches tall. Pearl’s mother is one of Milly’s identical sisters, according to Guinness World Records. Guinness World RecordsPearl was recently unveiled on “Lo Show Dei Record,” Guinness’ TV talent show in Italy.
