Sărbătoarea Sfinţilor Trei Ierarhi are, în esenţă, o simbolistică a comuniunii: astfel cum în Sfânta Treime deosebirea dintre Tatăl, Fiul şi Sfântul Duh nu duce la dezbinare şi nici unitatea lor la depersonalizare, tot astfel nici noi, ca persoane diferite, nu suntem chemaţi să trăim separat unii de alţii sau să ne ridicăm unii împotriva altora, ci să trăim după modelul Sfintei Treimi – în comuniune unul cu celălalt.

Scăldatul în lacuri de Bobotează nu este un botez curățitor de păcate, preotCâteva zeci de credincioși ortodocși s-au adunat astăzi, 19 ianuarie, la Catedrala Mitropolitană „Nașterea Domnului” din Chișinău pentru a lua agheasmă, de Bobotează. În această zi, se sfințesc nu doar apele din vase, dar toate apele, prin lucrarea Duhului Sfânt”, a precizat Vadim Cheibaș. Secretarul general al Mitropoliei Moldovei a opinat că scăldatul în lacuri și iazuri, de Bobotează, este un supliment de evlavie, de expresie a credinței și „nicidecum nu înlocuiește botezul propriu-zis, nu este un botez curățitor de păcate, așa cum unii interpretează. Unii greșesc atunci când spun că scăldatul în râuri și lacuri, de Bobotează, este o faptă eroică. Această operație de curățire a păcatelor aparține lui Dumnezeu și lui Iisus Hristos și are loc în cadrul Sfintei Taine a Botezului”, a mai spus părintele.
