MOSCOW, Nov 5 (Reuters) - Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov's 15-year-old son, who was shown beating a prisoner in custody this year, has been appointed to a senior role in his father's bodyguard, top Chechen security officials said on Sunday. Allies of the Chechen leader heaped praise on Adam Kadyrov, who turns 16 this month, for his courage and congratulated him on his appointment. "I sincerely congratulate ... Adam Kadyrov on his appointment to an important position in the security service of the head of the Chechen Republic!" Kadyrov's press service did not respond to a Reuters' request to comment. RIA agency reported on Saturday that Kadyrov's son was awarded the title of Hero of Chechnya in October.

According to a decree signed by Putin on Sunday, the Russian state had taken control of Danone's Russian subsidiary along with beer company Carlsberg's (CARLb.CO) stake in a brewer. Yakub Zakriev, 32, a deputy prime minister of Chechnya and the republic's agriculture minister, took the post of general director of Danone Russia on Tuesday, Interfax's SPARK database of company disclosure documents in Russia showed. "Choosing him as general director of Danone Russia shows that representatives of the team of Chechen President and Hero of Russia Ramzan Akhmatovich Kadyrov are talented and successful managers," Dudayev said on his Telegram messaging app. Kadyrov, a close ally of Putin, has referred on social media to Zakriev as his "dear nephew". Danone sought alliances with big local players during the boom years, eventually gaining at least a fifth of Russia's dairy market.

Judecătoria sectorului Gävle (Suedia de Est) i-a găsit vinovați pe doi ruși de tentativă de asasinare a bloggerului Tumso Abdurahmanov, care a criticat guvernul Republicii Cecene, transmite Novaya Gazeta. Bărbatul, al cărui nume nu este dezvăluit, a primit 10 ani de închisoare pentru tentativă de asasinare a lui Abdurahmanov, iar femeia – opt ani de închisoare pentru complicitate la tentativa de asasinat. Tumso a dezarmat atacatorul și a chemat poliția. Abdurakhmanov a lucrat în conducerea FSUE Electrosvyaz din Cecenia, dar a părăsit republica în 2015 după o detenție ilegală și un conflict cu Islam Kadyrov, o rudă a lui Ramzan Kadyrov.
