From that moment on, Printz was on the hunt for more NIL deals and used several tactics to gain more brand sponsorships. He said he's secured more than 100 NIL deals to date. He said the staff were "shocked" when he disclosed to Claremont McKenna in January 2023 that he'd had over 50 NIL deals. I decided to continue that passion in college when I enrolled in a Division III school. Related storyOn my team, soccer felt more like an unwanted activity than a conscious commitment. But in the corporate world, no one cared about my leadership experience of captaining two college teams. I know there is more than one way to keep playing, and it doesn't have to be at the collegiate level. AdvertisementEither way, playing in college is an experience, but mine cost more than it should.

FLORENCE, S.C. (AP) — Francis Marion center Lauryn Taylor set the NCAA record for all divisions with 44 rebounds in the Patriots' 85-62 win over North Greenville on Thursday night. Taylor is a 5-foot-11 senior who pulled down 30 defensive rebounds and 14 on the offensive boards in the Division II game for the most ever in an NCAA contest. Taylor surpassed the Division II mark of 36 set by Christine DeSaine of West Virginia Tech against Ohio Valley in 1995. The old NCAA mark was 40 by Deborah Temple of Delta State versus Alabama-Birmingham in a Division I contest on Feb. 14, 1983. Taylor, from Blythewood, South Carolina, broke the Francis Marion mark of 32 set by LaRue Fields in a win over South Carolina in 1976.

She didn’t mind the church part, but she did mind that her coach wasn’t giving her any playing time. She was starting to think that she might as well drop out of college and start working her way toward her dream career as a real estate agent. That led her, last spring, to a conversation with a coach who was starting a softball team at a school on the Gulf Coast of Florida. The coach was a young woman, and Totten thought she sounded sane and real and caring. The school was small, but it was a public honors college for top students, which also appealed to her.

HENDERSON, Nev. (AP) — When the Las Vegas Raiders hired Josh McDaniels in January 2022, he said he had learned from his first stint as an NFL head coach. The Raiders under McDaniels went 6-11 in 2022 and are 3-5 so far this season for a .360 winning percentage. The one game Las Vegas reached that figure came because of a fourth-quarter safety in a 21-17 victory over the Patriots on Oct. 15. The Raiders lost a record-tying five games after taking double-digit leads, including blowing a 20-0 halftime lead in his home debut against Arizona for the biggest collapse in franchise history. The hateful email was a surprise, but for Eric Bach, it was not entirely unexpected. The young broadcaster had been anticipating something like it for some time. Three years earlier, while he was studying journalism at Michigan State University, he had publicly come out as gay in an essay he wrote for Outsports. He simply showed up to work, pulled his headset over his ears and described the action for the audience at home. More than a year after that incident, that email represents something of a nexus in Bach’s developing career as a sports broadcaster.

CNN —CeCé Telfer calls it the moment her dreams seemed to be shattered as she questioned whether years of “blood, sweat and tears” were in vain. Last week, governing body World Athletics (WA) announced it would be prohibiting athletes who have gone through what it called “male puberty” from participating in female world rankings competitions. That includes Telfer, an American 400-meter hurdler who became the first out, transgender athlete to win an NCAA title in 2019. “The overriding feeling was definitely devastation for myself and for many around the world,” Telfer, speaking about her initial reaction to the announcement, tells CNN Sport in an exclusive interview. “I’m still going to keep pursuing my dreams and keep competing and keep running as much as I can, wherever I can, however I can,” Telfer adds.
