Snags in processing the results of the 2020 census may delay its first results long enough to prevent President Trump from carrying out his plan to exclude unauthorized immigrants from the population-based calculation that distributes seats in the House of Representatives and votes in the Electoral College.
In a written statement Thursday, Census Bureau Director Steven Dillingham cited “anomalies” discovered in processing, which began after counting ended Oct. 15.
